Week 1 — 20–26 July

• Tuesday 21 July: Introduction and course overview; JavaFX basics and concepts.
• Wednesday 22 July: JavaFX fundamentals drop-in lab.
• Friday 24 July: Alpha released; JavaFX fundamentals exercise.

Week 2 — 27 July–2 August

• Tuesday 28 July: JavaFX GUI concurrency.
• Wednesday 29 July: JavaFX GUI concurrency drop-in lab.
• Friday 31 July: Prompt engineering.

Week 3 — 3–9 August

• Tuesday 4 August: Asking questions and working with clients; design meeting.
• Wednesday 5 August: Prompt engineering drop-in lab.
• Friday 7 August: Code reuse, attribution, licences, and ethics.

Week 4 — 10–16 August

• Tuesday 11 August: Preparing for the Alpha presentations and second desin meeting.
• Wednesday 12 August: General project drop-in lab.
• Friday 14 August: NO LECTURE.
• [SUBMIT] Alpha Release — Friday 14 August, 23:59.

Week 5 — 17–23 August

• 17–21 August: Alpha presentations take place throughout the week. Your exact time will be announced on Canvas.
• There are no regular Tuesday or Friday classes.
• Complete the Alpha reflection after your presentation.

Week 6 — 24–30 August

• Tuesday 25 August: Beta discussed; collaborative Git and GitHub Flow demonstration.
• Wednesday 26 August: Git workflow drop-in lab.
• Friday 28 August: NO LECTURE

Semester break — 31 August–13 September

• Continue developing the Beta release with your team.

Week 7 — 14–20 September

• Continue developing the Beta release.
• Design meetings and a general project drop-in lab will be available.

Week 8 — 21–27 September

• Prepare for the Beta presentations.
• Design meetings and a general project drop-in lab will be available.
• [SUBMIT] Beta Release — Friday 25 September, 23:59.

Week 9 — 28 September–4 October

• 28 September–2 October: Beta presentations take place throughout the week. Your team’s exact time will be announced on Canvas.
• Complete the Beta contribution questionnaire and reflection.

Week 10 — 5–11 October

• Final Project requirements are discussed.
• Design meetings and a general project drop-in lab will be available.
• [SUBMIT] Prompt Engineering Reflection — Friday 9 October, 23:59.

Week 11 — 12–18 October

• Prepare for the Final Project presentations.
• Design meetings and a general project drop-in lab will be available.
• [SUBMIT] Final Release — Friday 16 October, 23:59.

Week 12 — 19–25 October

• 19–23 October: Final Project presentations take place throughout the week. Your team’s exact time will be announced on Canvas.
• Complete the Final contribution questionnaire and reflection.
